Christmas Tree at the Portal

Having learned there would be no Lighting Ceremony in Irvine this year, members of Seagate Rotary decided to see if, once again,  they could have the “Caring Trees at the Portal!” project. KA Leisure agreed that there could be 22 trees for in 2022.

The objective of the project is to bring colour and fun to Irvine during the festive season, engaging the community – businesses, schools and local organisations and hopefully raising funds for local organisations & charities. Trees were sponsored for £50, which  provides the tree and lights – all that was needed is the decorations.  All the trees will be on display from Friday, 9th December until 6th January 2023.

The Incorporation has sponsored a tree, sited between one of the front doors and cafe, and was decorated by Skinners, David Whitelaw and David Murdoch, with decorations pertaining to the Incorporation and all seven Crafts.
